Overview of the Tooltip Analytics

To view the Tooltip Analytics dashboard:

1.  Login to your Admin Portal.

2.  Select your Application from the left panel and then click Content Analytics.

The Content Analytics section will be accessible to users only if all the following conditions are met:

3.  Click the Tooltips tab in the Content Overview section of the global dashboard.

4.  Once you navigate to the Tooltip Analytics dashboard, you can use the following options to filter the data you want to display in the dashboard:

  • Duration- Displays the Tooltips available for the selected period.
  • Environment- Displays the Tooltips available for the selected Environment.
  • Segments- Displays the Tooltips available for the selected Segments.

You can click the vertical ellipsis and then select Customize Dashboard to drag and drop a section to change the look and feel of the dashboard.

Dashboard Level Insights

Tooltip Analytics comprises several sections providing insights on overall engagement, adoption, usage, and completion rates for your Tooltips across your application.

Tooltip Engagement Analysis

This section shows the overall engagement that users have had with all the Tooltips on your application, as well as the user engagement rate that has changed between the previous and the selected duration.

The definitions of each Tooltip status are provided in the table below:

Overall Engagement
  • Total number of times the Tooltips were engaged(on hover).
  • The change in percentage of Tooltips engaged between the previous and the selected duration.
Total Users
  • Total count of unique users who engaged with the Tooltips.
  • The change in percentage of user counts who engaged with the Tooltips between the previous and the selected duration.
Icon Displayed
  • Total number of times the Tooltip icons were displayed for the selected duration.
  • The change in the percentage of the Tooltip icons displayed between the previous and the selected duration.
  • Total count of unique users who were able to view the Tooltip icons for the selected duration.
  • The change in the percentage of user counts who were able to view the Tooltip icons between the previous and the selected duration.
Engagement Rate

The percentage of times that the Tooltips displayed information on hover for the selected duration.

Tooltip Engagement

This section consists of the top three Most Engaged and Least Engaged Tooltips for the selected duration.

Most Engaged Tooltip
  • The top three Tooltips with the highest engagement count in descending order.
  • The change in the percentage of engagement with the Tooltips between the previous and the selected duration.
  • Total count of unique users who engaged with the Tooltips.
  • The change in the percentage of user counts who engaged with the Tooltips between the previous and the selected duration.
Least Engaged Tooltip
  • The last three Tooltips with the lowest engagement count in ascending order.
  • The change in the percentage of engagement with the Tooltips between the previous and the selected duration.
  • Total count of unique users who engaged with the Tooltips.
  • The change in the percentage of user counts who engaged with the Tooltips between the previous and the selected duration

Content Overview

This section displays the frequency of engagement with the Tooltips deduced from their mean engagement rate for the selected duration. Assume that your application has five distinct Tooltips and that the count of engagements with each Tooltip for a certain month is as follows:

Consequently, the Tooltips that have the Engagement count higher than the Mean are considered to be the Most Frequently Engaged, while the Tooltips with the Engagement count lower than equal to the Mean are considered to be the Least Frequently Engaged. Thus, the engagement order for the Tooltips is as follows, starting from the Most Frequently Engaged to the Least Frequently Engaged:

Tooltip 2> Tooltip 1> 90> Tooltip 3> Tooltip 4.

Segment Level Insights

This section displays the metrics of all your Tooltip engagements for the selected segment within the selected duration.

For example, you can see that the Marketing Department includes a total of 46 users out of which 34 users engaged(hovered their cursor over the Tooltip icons) with the Tooltips 141 times and 12 users viewed the Tooltip icons 96 times on the application for the selected duration.

Tooltip Analysis

This section lists the top 5 Tooltips in the increasing and decreasing order of user engagement rate for the selected duration. Each filter also displays the number of users engaged with each Tooltip.

Content Level Insights

For more detailed analytics on each Tooltip, access the Content Level Insights dashboard:

a.  Click the View All button on the Tooltip Engagement section in the primary dashboard.

The following data is shown in a maximised table for all the existing Tooltips created within your application:

Tooltip Name Name of the Tooltip given by the Content Creator.
Engagement
  • Total number of times that the Tooltip was engaged(on hover).
  • The change in the percentage of the Tooltip engagement between the previous and the selected duration.
No. of User
  • Total count of unique users who engaged with the Tooltip for the selected duration.
  • The change in the percentage of user counts who engaged with the Tooltip between the previous and the selected duration.
Icon Displayed
  • Total number of times the Tooltip icon was displayed on the application for the selected duration.
  • The change in the percentage of the Tooltip icon displayed between the previous and the selected duration.
Status The Tooltip status indicates whether it is PublishedNot Published, or Deleted.

You can add additional data to the table by clicking the gear icon and selecting the required filters.

Average Engagement Metrics

This section displays the average engagement count of the Tooltip on a daily basis during the selected period. Consider the following situation, where a Tooltip is engaged n times each day for a week:

Therefore, on average, the Tooltip was engaged 122 times per day for one week.

Similarly, you can view the daily average count of users who engaged with the Tooltip along with the daily average percentage of the Tooltip that displayed information on hover for the selected duration.

Segment Level Insights

This section displays the engagement metrics of the Tooltip for the selected segment within the selected duration.

For example, you can see that the Finance Department includes a total of 7 users out of which 2 users engaged(hovered their cursor over the Tooltip icon) with the Tooltip 66 times and 5 users viewed the Tooltip icon 53 times on the application for the selected duration.
