Prerequisites:
The Content Analytics section will be accessible to users only if all the following conditions are met:
- The feature flag is enabled in your Admin Portal. To learn more, see List of Apty Feature Flags.
- Segments for your Apty Content are created and in active state. To learn more, see What is a Segment and how is it helpful?
- Users are identified using either the Application ID or the Custom ID. To learn more, see Unique User Identification (Version 4.x and above).
Every section in the Analytics dashboard displays the following important factors:
- The type of engagement with your Apty Content.
- Numbers indicating the frequency of engagement with your Apty Content.
- The percentage of engagement that has changed from the previous to the selected time duration.
Percentage Type Description Increase in the engagement rate from the previous to the selected time duration.
The upward green arrow indicates that, compared to the previous month(9 NOV '23 - 8 DEC '23), there was a 98% increase in the engagement rate in 9 DEC '23 – 8 JAN '24. Similarly, for quarterly or yearly duration, Apty will display data in comparison to the previous quarter or year respectively.
Decrease in the engagement rate from the previous to the selected time duration.
The downward red arrow indicates that, compared to the previous month(12 NOV '23-11 DEC '23), there is a 14% decline in the engagement rate in 12 DEC '23–11 JAN '24. Similarly, for quarterly or yearly duration, Apty will display data in comparison to the previous quarter or year respectively.
To view the Workflow Analytics dashboard:
1. Login to your Admin Portal.
2. Select your Application from the left panel and then click Content Analytics to navigate to the Workflows dashboard.
You can use the following options to filter the data you want to display in the dashboard:
- Duration- Displays the Workflows available for the selected time period.
- Environment- Displays the Workflows available for the selected Environment.
- Segments- Displays the Workflows available for the selected Segments.
Info:
- The data in the Content Analytics dashboard will be refreshed every ninety minutes.
- By default, the time zone is set to your browser's local time. This displays your Apty Content based on your local time zone.
- You can click the vertical ellipsis and then select Customize Dashboard to drag and drop a section to change the look and feel of the dashboard.
Dashboard Level Insights
Upon selecting a specific content, you'll be directed to the Dashboard Level Insights. This section offers a high-level overview of engagement, adoption, usage, and completion rates for your Workflows across the application.
Workflow Engagement Analysis
This section shows the overall engagement that users have had with all the Workflows on your application, as well as the user engagement rate that has changed between the previous and the selected period.
The definitions of each Workflow status in this section are provided in the table below:

Workflow Engagement
This section consists of the top 3 Most Engaged, Least Engaged, and Unengaged Workflows for the selected period.

Content Overview
This section displays the average engagement count of the Workflows between the previous and the selected duration.

The count of Workflows whose daily average engagement count is greater than the average engagement count for the selected duration. |
Least Frequently Engaged | The count of Workflows whose daily average engagement count is less than equal to the average engagement count for the selected duration. |
Unengaged | The count of Workflows that were unengaged for the selected duration. |

Sources of Engagement
This section displays the following details:

- The total number of times your Workflows have been started through various sources, such as Launchers, Player, Announcements, and Permalinks.
- The total count of Workflows initiated using Launchers, Player, Announcements, and Permalinks.
- The total number of users who initiated the Workflows using Launchers, Player, Announcements, and Permalinks.
Segment Level Insights
This section displays the metrics of all your Workflow engagements for the selected segment for the selected duration.
For example, you can see that the CEO segment contains in total 3 users who have interacted with the Workflows 2340 times for the selected duration in the following ways:
Incomplete - 1 user initiated and aborted the Workflows 1137 times before reaching the last step.
Errors - 1 user encountered errors in the Workflows 4 times.
Completed - 1 user initiated and completed the Workflows 1199 times through the last step.
InProgress - The count of Workflows that have been initiated and not executed through the last step is 0.
Workflow Analysis
This section lists the top 5 Workflows in the increasing and decreasing order of user engagement for the selected duration. You can also filter the Workflows data based on their Average Completion rate and Frequency of use. Each filter also displays the number of users engaged with each Workflow and the Action column displaying the flowchart view for each Workflow.

Similarly, the data in the Decrease in Engagement table will have the same format, except it will display the lowest values first.
Content Level Insights
Here, you can thoroughly examine the usage patterns and performance metrics for each Workflow. From engagement rates to user behavior at each step, this detailed analysis empowers you with actionable insights to optimize your Apty Content effectively.
For a deeper dive into individual Workflows, explore the Content Level Insights section:
a. Click the View All button on the Workflow Engagement section in the primary dashboard.
The following data is shown in a maximised table for all the existing Workflows created within your application:

Workflow Name | Name of the Workflow given by the Content Creator. |
Engagement | The number of times that users have engaged with the Workflow along with the user engagement rate that has changed between the previous and the selected duration. |
Completion | The number of times that users have completed the Workflow through it's last step along with the completion rate that has changed between the previous and the selected time period. |
No. of User | Total number of users that has engaged with the Workflow. |
Status | The Workflow state indicating whether it is Published, Not Published, or Deleted. |

You can add additional data to the table by clicking the gear icon and selecting the required filters.
b. Select a Workflow from the table to examine the usage of each Workflow step. For every workflow, a flowchart view with statistics is shown for each step.
Flowchart
You can view how users engage with each step of the Workflow by referring to the flowchart. By clicking on each step, you can view their user engagement counts.
You can also quickly identify a Workflow step by its color, each of which represents a unique meaning as explained in the table below.

This section displays the average user engagement data of a Workflow for the selected duration.

- The total number of users who initiated the Workflow using Launchers, Player, Announcements, and Permalinks.
