Add a Language to a Content type (Translation / Localization)

Adding Multi-Language Support to Apty Assist Content (Workflow/Announcement/Tooltips/Launchers/Validations/Checklist)

To Add a New Language to Content:

1.  Log in to the Admin Portal.

2. Select the application you plan to work with.

3. Click on Customizations, then select Languages.

4. On the right of the screen, find and click the Manage Languages button. A popup window will open displaying the list of available languages for your tenant.

5. In the popup window, select the checkbox for the language(s) you wish to add.

If the language is not available within the drop-down list, please contact Apty Support via the Support Portal.

6. Once you have selected the desired languages, click the Save button to confirm your choices.
7. You can also choose the default language for the player for this particular application from the drop-down list.

8. Now you must navigate and add the translations for specific content.

Note:

The language code will not appear against a content type unless the translations have been added.

Steps to Add Translations:

Example: Adding Translations to a Workflow

  1. Within your Admin Console, find the specific workflow you wish to translate.

  2. Click on the vertical ellipses (three dots) at the end of the row corresponding to the workflow you want to translate. From the dropdown menu, select Manage Languages.

  3. A new interface will appear showing the workflow steps in English, with corresponding spaces for you to enter the translations in the selected language.

  4. Carefully enter the translated text for each workflow step in the spaces provided. Make sure the translations accurately convey the original meaning.

  5. Once you have entered all the necessary translations, click the Save button to store your changes.

  • Using Google Translate: If you have purchased a license for the Google Translation API, you can use this feature to automatically generate translations. This can save time and ensure consistency across your content.
  • Verifying Translations: Even if you use Google Translate, it's a good idea to review the translations to ensure accuracy and appropriateness for your audience.
