What deployment models does Apty Assist  support?

Apty Assist operates in Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) and On-Premise deployment models:

  • SaaS: cloud-based SaaS solution model is hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS). AWS-powered implementation is a risk-free method, requiring no infrastructure maintenance and upgrades from the customer.
  • On-Premise (Self-hosted): for the customers who take full responsibility for corporate data privacy and choose to avoid dependency on outside servers, Apty supports a self-hosting option, where the entire deployment is performed on the local resources of the customer side. Application files can be located on any server supporting SSL (nginx, Apache, etc.) on the Windows / Linux / MacOS environment.

Can all components of Apty Assist be installed on one server?

Yes, while deploying the system in the On-Premise model.

Is it possible for the tool to co-exist in an environment which has live applications?

Yes, when deployed in the On-Premise model the tool can co-exist in an environment with live applications. 

Can the Admin Console be installed as a standalone instance?

Yes, the Admin Console is accessible to anyone with appropriate URL and Log in credentials.

Is it possible to have authoring, content hosting and learner access via a SaaS solution?

Yes, Apty Assist is a full SaaS compliant Application.


Hardware / Software

Is it possible to install the tool on a machine with 1GB ram, 5 GB free space and dual core 2GHz processor?

Yes, Apty Assist works on any machine that can run modern browsers like Chrome, Firefox etc.

Is there support for 64 bit?

Yes, Apty Assist is a device independent software, any system supporting modern browsers can run Apty Assist.

Does the tool support Google Chrome 56, Microsoft Edge?

Yes, the tool is compatible with Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer 11 or higher.

Does the tool support Microsoft 10, Office 2016, and SQL 2016?

Yes, Apty Assist supports Microsoft 10 and Office 2016 but it is not applicable to SQL 2016.

Does it support Office 365?

No, it does not support Office 365.

Configurations

Does the tool support offline/online authoring?

Yes, the tool supports offline/online authoring.

Can Workflows work based on Application authorization? If users are not authorized to see some sections of the tool, will the flow still continue to move forward with whats applicable for that application?

Yes, Apty Assist is designed in a way that it can handle different users with different access levels.

Does the tool provide a collaborative authoring environment where content can be stored and accessed centrally?

Yes, Apty Assist consists of 3 components: Assist Studio (for creating content),  Assist Client (for accessing content by end users), and Admin Console, which functions as a central repository where all the data related to an application can be stored.
