Managing Frames in Apty Studio: Editing and Deleting
When changes occur in your application, they can impact UI components and the Frames connected to them. To maintain consistency between your Frames and the updated application pages, you can either modify existing Frames or create new ones. This guide provides step-by-step instructions for editing and deleting Frames in Apty Studio.
How to Edit a Frame
Editing a Frame ensures it stays aligned with page updates. Follow these steps:
- Log in to Apty Studio: Open Apty Studio in your web browser and sign in with your credentials.
- Choose the Application: Select the application containing the Frame you want to modify.
- Identify the Apty Content: Navigate to the specific Apty content associated with the Frame you want to edit.
- Access the Frame List: Expand the list of Frames by clicking the dropdown menu.
- Open Frame Settings: Click the settings icon next to the Frame you want to edit.
- Modify the Frame: Make the necessary changes to update the Frame.
- Save Changes: Click Save to confirm your updates.
Tip: Regularly review Frames to ensure they reflect the latest UI changes in your application.
How to Delete a Frame
Deleting obsolete Frames helps streamline your application’s structure. Keep in mind that only Admin users have the authority to delete Frames.
- Log in to Apty Studio: Open Apty Studio in your web browser and log in.
- Select the Application: Choose the application that contains the Frame you want to delete.
- Locate the Apty Content: Navigate to the Apty content linked to the Frame you wish to remove.
- Expand the Frame List: Click the dropdown menu to view all available Frames.
- Open Frame Settings: Click the settings icon for the Frame you want to delete.
- Delete the Frame: Click the x icon to initiate the deletion process.
- Confirm Deletion: Click Delete to permanently remove the Frame.
Note:
- A frame needs to be unpublished before it can be deleted.
- Frame deletions are permanent and cannot be undone. Always verify before confirming removal.
- Currently, Apty Studio does not support moving tools, such as tooltips, between different Frames. If you want a tooltip or any other tool to appear on a specific Frame that it was not originally connected to, you will need to create a new one.
Keeping Frames updated ensures a seamless user experience in your applications. Use the editing feature to adapt Frames to UI changes or delete outdated Frames to maintain clarity and efficiency.
If you’re an Admin, take extra care to manage Frames responsibly, as changes can significantly impact users interacting with the Apty content.
