To increase efficiency and save time, you can view your Activity Tracking events in real time, specify an event as an Activity's only starting point, and cancel and resume your recording sessions. Activity Tracking's capabilities go beyond simply capturing the events that a user goes through.
The following functional improvements have been made to Activity Tracking.
View your Activity Tracking process in real time
The Apty Studio can now display each and every event as soon as it is captured. This allows you to see in real time what events you are capturing and makes it easier for you to keep track of your Activity.
By dragging and dropping the events in the Apty Studio, you can easily rearrange them in the order you choose.
Specify an event as Optional Start Step
The ability to specify an event as the Optional Start Step allows Activity creators the freedom to define when and which Activity is considered to have begun.
For example, the New event is specified as the Optional Start Step for creating a new Lead in Salesforce.
Similarly, the Optional Start Step for editing an existing Lead in Salesforce could be the Edit event.
The goal of this is to ensure that you begin the Activity Tracking for creating or editing the Lead only when you click the New event or the Edit event respectively, and to avoid confusion between identical events between the two Activities.
Specify an event as Cancel Event
You can track how frequently an Activity has been cancelled by specifying an event as a Cancel Event.
Let's assume that you have enabled Activity Tracking while filling your personal information on an online form and then you choose an event to cancel your form submission. This action interrupts all the previous events captured, and as a result, you must start over capturing all the events required to complete the process. By marking such an event as a Cancel Event, you can learn how that event is being used.
The Cancel Event metrics helps you examine which event you chose to designate as a Cancel event, how many times that event was clicked, and how many users utilized that event.
Resume your Activity Tracking
The Apty Studio has a new Resume Recording button that enables you to pick up where you left off and add new events without having to switch between Apty Studio windows. Imagine that you have stopped recording your Activity Tracking, but still want to add more events. Ideally, you should follow a few procedures to add a new event to your current Activity, but not anymore. You can now immediately resume your recording.
Activity Engagement Enhancements
With version 4.18.0, Apty has enhanced how data appears in the Activity Statistics chart by grouping Activities that share comparable data and presenting them in a more simple manner.
The Most Used Activity, denoted by a blue spot, looks larger than the Least Used Activity in the GIF below.
When you hover your cursor over the blue Activity spot, a number is displayed on it indicating how many Activities have been grouped, a tooltip displaying the names of the Activities, completion rate of the Activities, and user adoption.
To help you make better enterprise software adoption decisions, we've included the COMPLETION ERROR statistic to our Activities insights.
When you begin an Activity Tracking for a process, but later try to end it without complying with the business' requirements or doing the necessary procedures, the website may display an error and prompt you to follow all compliances before ending the process. The frequency of these errors or the number of attempts to complete the Activity is stored in the new COMPLETION ERROR metric in the Admin Console.
Have you noticed any changes to your Activity Funnel?
There is no longer the need to create a new Funnel since one already exists. How?
Apty creates a default Activity funnel for your Activity Tracking which you can conveniently edit afterwards according to what you want to show in that funnel.
The Activity Funnel provides a summary of all the events or steps of the Activity with a percentage bar for each event.
The bar graph enables analysis of which events are the most challenging for a user to complete, whether they omit them right at the beginning, or skip them in the middle of the process.
Order the appearance of multiple Announcements
When you have several announcements to be displayed in a single frame, you have no control over which announcement comes first. Well, not anymore!
You can now rank your Announcements in a specific order using the ORDERING RANK option in Apty Studio. The top ranked Announcement will be displayed first and the rest will be seen only after the preceding Announcement has been accepted.
The Ordering Rank will be followed by the Announcements only if no display CONDITIONS have been assigned to them.
To learn more, see Announcement display conditions.
Validate your credentials on screen
Life is so much better when you get an instant advice to solve your problem as you are facing it. This is precisely what our on-screen input validation observer accomplishes.
The moment you start entering your credentials to log in to an application, the validation box that displays a list of conditions pops up. The validation box acts like an observer to check whether you have complied to all the conditions as it is ideal that you recognize the mistakes that you're making early on and correct them. While you are typing, the radio buttons turn green for the conditions you have met and red for the ones you still need to fulfil. This saves your time and ensures data integrity.
Insert an Image and Text in your Launcher
Apty Studio enables you to include images and custom texts while creating Launchers.
You can choose any image or text from the dropdown menu when you select the Launch an Image or Launch a Text option in the Apty Studio, or you can manually input your text or a new image by entering it's URL.
Sort your Knowledge Center content
Click the Ordering Rank metric to sort the content of your Knowledge Center in ascending order of the ranks you assigned them.
Install Apty Widget from Microsoft Dynamics 365
You can now add and install the Apty Widget using Microsoft Dynamics 365.
You can get the Apty Widget from the AppSource and display it on your application once the Apty Widget has been added to Microsoft Dynamics 365.
