Schedule a Recurring Announcement – Apty Support

Apty enables you to schedule recurring Announcements for a specified time period in order to enhance better Announcement planning. The recurring frequency of an Announcement can be set for a range of dates and the chosen time period.

Announcements can be scheduled by one or more of the following:

Start date
End date
Start time
End time
Time zone
Number of occurrences over a period of time

Use the following steps to schedule an Announcement,

1. Login to your Apty Studio.

2. Select your application.

3. Click Announcement.

4. Select a Frame from the list of Frames.

Note:

Each application page in Apty is identified by a Frame, which then displays content specific to that page.

5. Click the Announcement you want to schedule.

Note:

You can also schedule an Announcement while creating a new Announcement.

6. Scroll down to the RECURRENCE section and then select the Repeat radio button.

Recurrence	Description
One Time	Display the Announcement only once when the user logs in to the application within the selected time period.
Repeat	Display the Announcement on a daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly basis when the user logs in to the application within the specified time period.

7. Under the FREQUENCY section, select one of the following options:

DAILY
WEEKLY
MONTHLY
YEARLY

8. Set the frequency to show the Announcement.

9. Use the Starts On and Ends On fields to set the start date and the end date.

Note:

If you wish to automatically stop displaying the Announcement after a certain date, you may also select Ends After instead of Ends On.

The Ends After option uses the Starts On date and the recurrence frequency as its source to end displaying an Announcement after a certain period of time without requiring an end date to be specified. For example, if you want to display the Announcement once every Wednesday staring on 2/1/2023 for the next 3 weeks, you must set the Ends after value as 3 times. The Announcement will appear on your application once every Wednesday on 2/1/2023, 2/8/20323, and 2/15/2023 between the stated time period, and then stop after 2/15/2023.

10. Enable the Display Between Time checkbox and then use the From Time and To Time fields to set the start time and the end time.

Note:

The Announcement appears only between the set time duration on the selected dates. For example, if you set the From Time for DAILY recurrence at 12:00 AM and the To Time at 11:59 PM, the Announcement would appear between 12:00 AM and 11:59 PM every day until the end date.

11. In the TIMEZONE section, select the time zone from the dropdown you want your recurring Announcement settings to follow.

Note:

By default, time zone is set to Local. This converts the Starts On and Ends On settings based on your local time zone, and the Announcement is shown accordingly.

12. Click Save.

The following table shows the description of different Recurrent options:

Announcement repeats 3 times from 12/27/2022 to 12/22/2026 within the specified timings, every 2 years on the Fourth Tuesday of the month.
